Question...

Well two questions actually... firstly is are the roster hosting working properly at the minute? I tried to download my roster when I did my sheet for Round 8, but couldn't, and had to do my sheet based on an old roster.

Secondly, what is the suspension set to in regards to DP? When I did my sheet, Carvalho was on 10 DP, which I then added the 2 DP for his booking in Round 7, making 12. Normally the amount of DP to get a ban is 10, so I assumed that he'd already served his ban, as 12 isn't normally the limit when he'd get suspended.

However, he was suspended for Round 8, and now has 12 DP. Could you just clear up at what point a player gets banned please as this is quite strange.

This isn't a complaint, and although Carvalho was the second mistake in my last sheet I shouldn't have played Bosingwa so I'm not asking for a re-run bla bla bla, I'd just like to make sure that the hosting is now working (doing a sheet on assumption is never a good idea), and what the DP is to get a ban.

I'll answer the technical question and allow Adam to answer the game-based one.

Yes our rosters did go down for I believe in the region of half a day which was down to our hosts who offer a free service to us. Unfortunatly this did result in many members asking where the rosters were, in the morning however they were back online (this was when I first checked) this is the first time we have had problems with the hosts and apart from that they have been very good. However we should take the blame for this as we had nothing else in reserve, if this was to happen again I would recconmend that if you need your teamsheet you send a PM to adam where I am sure he could pass it on to you. At the end of the season we are looking at new forum hosts and can also look at new roster hosts as this has obviously caused you problems in the making of your teamsheet which is never good as it can and will effect the whole season. As far as I am aware the hosting is working at the moment and if you have any more problems with logging on PM me ASAP, so we can look at alternative hosts sooner rather than later. Again the Admin team offer their apoligies for this and we hope it doesn't happen again. If you wish to discuss this further just post below!

Right in terms of Carvalho.

It took me ages to realise why it is like it and now I know

On this site we have:

DP_for_Yellow = 4
DP_for_Red = 10

I have looked at Carvalho's record in terms of yellow's and red's and found that he has had 3 yellow cards making his total to 12

But what I dint understand was that he did not get any red but is suspended but thats because of this:

Suspension_margin = 10

Meaning that his last yellow took him over 10 meaning he was banned for a game

So basically you get banned if you get one red or 3 yellow's

Firstly, thanks 1pswich for the info. As I said, it wasn't a complaint, and I know how bad free hosting can be sometimes. Even on TDE which I pay for can go down at times (although it's been a lot better recently - touch wood!). It's not your fault that I couldn't download my roster, but it was a busy week, so I gambled on it.

Secondly, cheers for that info Adam, that does clear everything up! Most games I've played on before have been 2 points for a yellow card - based on the real life 5 yellow cards and a ban - but if on here it is 8, then that explains perfectly why Carvalho was suspended!
