Premiership side Aston Villa have announced Ash Barkworth as their new manager after the departure of their previous manager. Barkworth who was the manager of Bolton Wanderers was sat alongside new chairman Randy Learner with a Aston Villa shirt with Barkworth number 1 on the back hanging to the side of them.
Attending the press conference was BBC sport, Sky Sports News, BBC 5 Live and the Birmingham Evening Standard.
When asked about his plans for Villa, Barkworth said:
"My aim is to take Villa up to towards the top of the League, To do the very best and possibly get European football, we have some great talents at this club and some of them are the countries best up and coming talents with the likes of James Milner, Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor all available to me. I look forward to being able get started soon."
